With two supermodel sisters, it was only a matter of time before Anwar Hadid stepped into the fashion industry himself. The 19-year-old, who is no stranger to the runway, is now a fully-fledged jewellery designer.
Hadid teamed up with rapper Yoni Laham to launch his new label, Martyre. The new brand features a collection of minimalist necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings, all of which are mostly made of sterling .925 silver and are inspired by classical gothic references. With saint and sinner iconography front and centre, the pieces feature phrases like “PRAY FOR US”, “EVERY SINNER DIES A SAINT” and naturally, their Martyre logo.
“It’s our mission to restore the substance and symbolism of jewellery and allow customers to find a personal meaning in each piece”, said the label’s head of design and creative Ryan Benson in a statement.
The Los Angeles-based label, is priced from $195 up to $795, will reportedly include a collection of fine jewellery, with round-cut diamonds and gold options upon request.
