From Australia and Bosnia to the UK and America, hundreds of thousands of people have been taking to the streets all across the world to stand up for the Palestinians, who have been facing a mass ethnic cleansing by occupying forces. Since Oct. 7, when Israel began carpet bombing the Gaza Strip while cutting off access to water, fuel, electricity, and humanitarian aid, in addition to refusing a ceasefire, thousands of protesters have banded together in pursuit of putting a stop to the genocide, which has already claimed the lives of over 4,000 innocent civilians, half of them children.
This weekend alone, London’s “National March For Palestine” drew an estimated 300,000 protesters who took to the cobblestoned streets to demand an immediate ceasefire and for the necessary humanitarian supplies to be safely delivered to the people trapped in Gaza. And it’s not just London— around the world, protesters and activists came out to show their solidarity with creative and impactful signage that called for action from politicians, scrutinized the Israeli and American governments, and called out the genocide for what it is.
