This weekend, reports that Beyonce will be returning to the stage for the first time in four-years surfaced on the World Wide Web. The National reported that on Jan. 21, 2023, the multi Grammy Award-winning artist will perform at luxury hotel, Atlantis the Royal, who paid the superstar singer $24 million for a one-hour gig. It will be Beyonce’s first performance since 2018 when she sang at the Global Citizen Festival located in Johannesburg, South Africa, but, don’t get excited just yet— there’s a catch. The super exclusive event is invite-only, meaning that, unfortunately, you can’t purchase tickets for the performance.
The rumored gig is set to coincide with the official opening of the opulent hotel, which was initially scheduled to cut the ribbon in November of this year, before it was postponed to Jan. 21, 2023. The launch of the 43-storeys high landmark with sweeping views of Palm Island and the Arabian Sea will also welcome other international hitmakers, including British singer-songwriter Robbie Williams and electronic music group Swedish House Mafia, who are scheduled to perform that same weekend.
