Ramy Youssef’s Next Comedy Series Will Debut In The Middle East

on OSN+ !

American-Egyptian comedian Ramy Youssef has just announced the premiere date of his next televized venture. Dubbed More Feelings, the two-time Golden Globe winner is finally ready to share his latest audiovisual work, which will offer “his unique reflections on a divided world, ”according to the show’s description.

Probing similar themes and topics as he did in his eponymous debut series, Ramy—which ran on Hulu for three seasons— the 32-year-old’s forthcoming comedy special will provide in-depth social commentary on a wide range of issues. These include the US presidential election, his relationship with faith, as well as a childhood book report he claims “changed the course of his life.”

Ahead of its global debut, the New Jersey-born stand-up comedian-turned-actor announced that his next program will first be available to stream in the region before becoming accessible to audiences worldwide. Expected to launch on Dubai-based satellite TV OSN+ on March 17, the new show will be ready to watch from our side of the world for an entire week before it makes its way onto HBO, his second collaboration with the American video-on-demand platform following his first stint with Feelings in 2019.

The decision to debut in the Middle East marks a new turn in the global silver-screen industry’s dynamics as, for once, an Arab narrative takes center stage, shaking up the current status quo, with the implication that the Western world will no longer be in pole position ahead of a major piece of entertainment’s release.

Directed by Chris Storer, creator and co-showrunner of The Bear, Youssef’s next comedy special is slated to be released mere days before he hosts Saturday Night Live on March 30. The award-winning entertainer will be joining a star-studded list of A-listers who have previously acted as one-off masters of ceremony, including Emma Stone, Sydney Sweeney, and Kim Kardashian, amongst others. From the information that has surfaced so far, Houston-born rapper Travis Scott will be sharing the stage with him on the iconic show as his musical guest.
