It appears that Bella Hadid has a new boyfriend— and he’s a real-life cowboy. The 27-year-old model, who earlier this year called it quits with her previous partner, Marc Kalman, after two-years, was spotted deep in the heart of Texas cozying up to Adan Banuelos, a 35-year-old horse rider and trainer.
The apple clearly doesn’t fall too far from the tree for Banuelos, who comes from a family of horse riders, with his father, Ascension Banuelos, also being a renowned cowboy and a member of the National Cutting Horse Association Riders Hall of Fame. In 2007, Adan was also introduced in the Hall of Fame, becoming one of the youngest members to be introduced. Per the horse rider’s website, he “Specializes in training and showing cutting horses” and “continues to have top level amateurs & non-pro riders within his program.”

While it’s not clear how the two met, they could have potentially bonded over their shared love of horses. The model, who claims she was riding horses before she learned how to walk, is a champion equestrian whose family lived on a horse ranch for over 10-years. Hadid planned to compete in the 2016 Olympics, but was forced to give up her sporting ambitions after contracting Lyme disease, according to her mom. “Bella had to give up her lifelong dream of having a professional riding career and a shot at the Olympics due to her severe symptoms and inability to ride,” Yolanda Hadid previously shared.
Though the part-Palestinian model doesn’t compete professionally anymore, she looks to have gotten back into horse riding, as in August, she shared photos of herself doing jumps with her horse Amira.
Hadid ended her previous relationship with Kalman a few months ago due to reasons related to her health. Regarding their split, a source told Entertainment Tonight: “They were very in love, but the relationship ultimately ran its course and they decided to end things. Bella is a very nice person, but struggles with the pressures of fame. She has been trying to take care of herself since their split.”
