Alexandria-born rapper Afroto, renowned for his distinctive fusion of trap and chaabi beats, is gearing up for an exciting European tour. Set to kick off in May, this marks Afroto’s debut journey across Europe, with stops planned in major cities including London, Milan, and Vienna.
Emerging from the vibrant Egyptian hip-hop scene, the 26-year-old artist initially honed his skills beatboxing and engaging in rap battles in San Stefano. However, it was encouragement from his peers that propelled him towards songwriting. With his inaugural release in 2016, Afroto quickly captured listeners’ attention, particularly with tracks like Segara and Ala Baady, both produced in collaboration with his long-time partner, Egyptian rapper Marwan Moussa. Together, the duo has garnered acclaim for their infectious trap-chaabi compositions. which they performed together in London in 2022.
