Congratulations are in order for Yemeni-Emirati hitmaker Balqees Fathi, who has just been appointed as Guerlain’s latest brand ambassador in the region. Announced through a joint carousel post on Instagram, Fathi and Guerlain revealed they are joining forces as the artist’s vision and ethos aligns with the French cosmetic label’s, specifically through a shared “passion for sustainability, love for ancestral savoir-faire and values that resonate with Guerlain’s aim to empower and connect with women across the region.”
“I’m thrilled to start off this year with this exciting announcement,” Fathi commented on her recent appointment in a statement. “More than an ambassadorship, my work with Guerlain is a very personal collaboration— the values of the Maison are very close to my own, and its products have been on my vanity for as long as I remember,” she continued.

The partnership, which was made official earlier this week, marks the first time Guerlain taps an Emirati brand representative to join its roster of global influencers. The news is another note-worthy milestone in the Momken singer’s career, coming a little over a year since her 2022 FIFA World Cup performance in Qatar. Back then, the UAE-born songstress took the stage in the quadrennial tournament’s closing ceremony to deliver a live rendition of one of the competition’s anthems, alongside Nora Fatehi, Rahma Riad, and Manal amongst others.
In celebration of the exciting announcement, the 35-year-old shared a few editorial shots posing with Guerlain products on her social media feeds, spotlighting several signature fragrances from the French luxury brand, including Cherry Oud, Tobacco Honey, and the Aqua Allegoria collection.
