Egyptian Actor Ahmed Malek is Cartier’s Newest Ambassador

Congrats!

The first time I discovered Egyptian actor Ahmed Malek was during Ramadan circa 2017 and I was obsessively watching one of the Ramadan series at that time called La Totfea Al Shams. I remember being struck by his incredibly raw and emotive performance of his character Adam, who captured both inner and outer turmoil’s many Egyptian families face. He made me laugh, cry, and angry, all at the same time. There is something so incredibly special and genuine about his on-screen presence, from his experimental performance in Sheikh Jackson and his eclectic role in Egyptian series Bimbo starring Wegz, to his latest performances in The Swimmers and Matar. There’s no denying Malek is an exceptional actor.

Fast forward to June 2023, and it is official, the actor was just announced as French luxury label Cartier’s newest brand ambassador. Lauded for his crisp and chic approach to fashion, as well as his immense passion for the arts– literature, theater, film, and music, we will be witnessing Malek in all his glory at key international and regional events dripped out in all-things Cartier on selected red carpets.

“It is my absolute honor to be joining the Cartier family,” commented Malek on his new role. “I look forward to working with a Maison with such creativity and heritage.”

Malek will be joining the likes of, Egyptian actress and model Tara Emad, and many more global talents in the esteemed Cartier family.

Just a few months ago, Malek was seen alongside Tunisian stars  Hend Sabri and Dhafer L’Abidine and Egyptian actress and model Tara Emad in a campaign promoted on the brands Instagram. The campaign included a video of the actors trying to explain the word ‘simplicity.’

Keep an eye out for what Malek has in store.
