Everything We Know About Rihanna’s Debut LVMH Collection

The singer-turned-designer is shaking up the fashion world

At just 31, Rihanna has already accomplished what would take most people an entire  lifetime—and that’s if we reduced the Barbadian singer to her music career alone. But Rihanna (real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) is also the businesswoman behind one of the world’s leading cosmetics brands, Fenty Beauty.

And since announcing the launch of her eponymous fashion house, Fenty—in collaboration with LVMH—Rihanna made history, cementing her as the first black woman to lead a luxury fashion house. And today we finally get a look at her first collection.

The singer sat down with the New York Times’ T magazine and gave the world a deep look inside her new venture, which will be available for purchase starting May 24 in Paris at a pop-up.

For those who can’t make it, the range—which will include everything from clothing, shoes, jewellery, and sunglasses—will be available for purchase online beginning May 29.

And in a millennial move, the ‘Diamonds’ singer is shaking up the luxury industry, with the range only available for purchase from her e-store, and collections dropping monthly instead of seasonally (borrowing from Supreme’s now-infamous sales model).

“I want to be as disruptive as possible. The brand is not traditional,” Rihanna said, explaining the decision, “There is no runway show. It’s a new way of doing things because I believe that this is where fashion is going to go eventually.”

As for the pieces in her inaugural collection, the singer hit the mark with not just one but practically every piece standing out on its own. From the coral hued cotton canvas suit jacket and matching corset dress to the pointed embossed calfskin shoes and striped puffed-sleeve shirt, you’re going to want them all.
