Omar Souleyman and 2 Chainz to Kick Off BRED Abu Dhabi, the Region’s First Neo-Culture Festival

Mark your calendars!

Get ready to experience the ultimate celebration of neo-culture as BRED Abu Dhabi (presented by Hypebeast), the region’s first-ever neo-culture festival, takes over the city. With a star-studded lineup featuring big names in hip-hop and electronic music, visitors are in for a treat with a five-day extravaganza at the Yas Bay Waterfront showcasing the influence of urban culture on music, fashion, sports, and art. Today, the headliners have been announced for the forthcoming event, and by the looks of it, you don’t want to miss this line-up.

The event will kick off at the BRED arena on April 26, only a few days after Eid Al-Fitr on April 21, meaning that you can consider your long weekend plans sorted. Visitors will be treated to an electrifying performance by Grammy-award winning DJ, music producer, and entrepreneur DJ Jazzy Jeff, who you may also know from his appearances on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Adding to the electrifying atmosphere is Syrian singer Omar Souleyman, who will make his Abu Dhabi debut with popular hits like Wenu Wenu, Warni Warni, and Ya Bnayya. Meanwhile, British-Lebanese electronic music producer and DJ, Saliah, will bring her unparalleled vibes to light up the evening with unique blends of acappellas, UK bass, Arabic classics, and a range of electronic genres.

The following day, hip-hop lovers can expect to catch unforgettable performances from US rappers 2 Chainz, Dave East, and Armani White at the BRED arena. If having 2 Chainz and Omar Souleyman perform in the same festival doesn’t scream “neo-culture” to you, we don’t know what will.

On April 28, three-time Grammy-nominated artist 6LACK will take to the stage, as well as Palestinian singer and Lina Makoul and Egyptian artist Ahmed Santa, who will perform tracks from his debut album, Santa El Gded.

Rounding out the billing on April 29 is multi-platinum artist Big Sean,  who will perform some of his biggest hits including tracks from his critically-acclaimed album, Detroit 2; Grime British rapper and songwriter, Giggs, who will also take the  stage to perform his hits like Peligro and Talkin the Hardest; and  UAE-based Somali rapper, Freek.

Of course, this is just a taste of what festival-goers can expect this month, with organizers set to reveal more information on participating brands and more in the days to come. Make sure to follow the event’s Instagram and TikTok for updates, and visit BRED’s official website for earlybird tickets.
