Shabab Intl. Unveils Next Chapter With Their Must-Have Summer Collection

We want everything

Stop what you’re doing— Shabab Intl. has just dropped their new summer collection. The offering, according to the homegrown brand’s founder, Mohamed Hasoon (AKA Chebmoha as he’s affectionally called), “is a glimpse of the next chapter of Shabab.” The unisex fashion capsule includes graphic t-shirts, parachute pants, puffer vests, hoodies, skirts, jerseys, sweaters, and socks. Modeled by longtime friends of the founders, who were invited to style themselves, the collection embraces versatile hyper-luxe basics and contemporary designs over ostentatious, logo-heavy streetwear, that was made for everyday wear.

For this collection, the brand also teamed up with Iraqi-British lawyer-turned-baker, Babypalmcakes, who is known for her almost-too-pretty-to-eat vintage-inspired confections, as well as streetwear label Pacifism, on a cozy, graphic t-shirt. The baker, whose real name is Talla Al-Khafaji, baked a cake decorated with concentric rows of whipped pastel frosting, carefully-placed pearls, and icing text bearing the logos of Shabab and Pacifism. The cake was then photographed and printed on a black t-shirt.

In addition to the essentials, the brand also churned out a lineup of accessories that includes a mint-colored puffer scarf, baseball caps, puffer bags, keychains, and a pair of sunglasses, which is a first for the brand. The space-inspired sunglasses feature a removable nose piece so you can switch up your look, and are extremely limited, with only 50 pairs produced for purchase.

Shabab was co-founded by Iraqi-Canadian fraternal twins Mohamed and Zainab Hasoon, alongside Omani Mohammed Al-Kindy (or, Chndy). The creative trio have all called Dubai home for the past half-decade and were among the first to launch a local streetwear and lifestyle fashion brand, paving the way for the countless of others that came after. Their messaging is inspired by the Arab world, nostalgia, futurism, and their roots. Blending traditional and contemporary viewpoints, their clothes have earned them famous fans like Dua Lipa, Tiny Tempah, and Skepta.
