On Oct. 2, Italian designer Pierpaolo Piccioli will present the Valentino Spring 2023 ready-to-wear collection via a runway show, titled “Unboxing Valentino,” that will take place at Le Carreau Du Temple, a historic building in the heart of Le Marais, which previously housed a flourishing secondhand clothes market in the 1950s. The choice of venue is certainly interesting and we can’t help but wonder if this is the creative director’s way of showcasing the third phase of the Valentino Vintage project. The resale initiative asked owners of vintage items to resell them to the brand in exchange for store credit. The items were then put on sale in second-hand shops in Tokyo, Los Angeles, Milan, and New York.
