Between New York, London, Milan, and Paris fashion week, there was plenty of opportunities for our favorite fashion girlies to get all dressed up. This fashion month, the best dressed showgoers were the ones that embraced all around coolness, which means baggy blazers, sporty sunglasses, leather, and clunky boots, making them look like they just came out of a Balenciaga casting rather than FROW at some show. Leather jackets, a staple in the cool-girl aesthetic, reigned supreme on the cobblestoned streets of the world’s fashion capitals, as strikingly demonstrated by Maya Alkhateri, who slung her boxy coat over a lace, form-fitting catsuit at Dolce & Gabbana, and Maria Alia Sadek, who layered her jacket with a crisp white button-up, light-wash jeans, and chunky platform boots at the Peter Do show.
Suiting also made a bold return, as showgoers have emerged from the pandemic, trading in their sweatpants and hoodies for tailored blazers and matching trousers. Aya Mohamed, for example, was business as usual as she made her way to Gucci’s showcase in Milan wearing a lavender grey oversized tailored suit set paired with a white vest, black dress shirt and wraparound shield sunglasses that made the ‘fit feel refreshingly casual.
When it came to accessories, athletic, futuristic shades were obviously the ultimate sartorial staple among the fashion girlies who reached for sporty frames to elevate their show-stopping ensembles.
Below, we round up some of the best outfits spotted this season.
